I. MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER JUST BEFORE 7PM

II. REVIEW/APPROVE MINUTES FROM LAST MEETING
There were no minutes at the December meeting, no
board business was discussed.

III. CORRESPONDENCE
Information was received regarding a WWSA CW DX
Contest to be held on 10th and 11th of June 2006…
Solicitation of contacts for AE7P and WB7FDE, who will
be on a cruise from Australia to South America, were
sought, but the availability

of stations to operate along the way was in question.

IV. TREASUERS REPORT
A 2006 budget was outlined by the Treasurer, and a
draft will be reviewed at the next board meeting.
There is a new club banner (for use

at hamfests and other public venues) in the offing,
which will be included in the draft budget.

V. MEMBERSHIP
3 Renewals were received.
The 2006 renewal season starts 3/11/2006 with the Mike
and Key hamfest in Puyallup.

VI. OLD BUSINESS
W7DX repeater – No update this month
Salmon Run committee – No update this month
Web site – has been updated and continues to be
updated

VII. NEW BUSINESS
Awards Committee (of one)
Dick K7BTW was approved as the award chairperson
His first officially sanctioned activites include:
Nomination suggestions for rookie of the year, work on
making the member of

the year and MVP awards criteria more distinct.
MVP Nominations were made, nominees were Hillar N6HR,
Duncan W7JEM, and Brian N9ADG (nominating messages
were read at the

meeting)
Member of the year nominees were Hillar N6HR, Brian
N9ADG, and Jim K7WA. (nominating messages were read
at the meeting)
A secret ballot was collected by the awards
chairperson, winners to be announced at the February
general meeting.

Badges, badges, badges
Our president expressed the desire to be able to send
in badge orders more frequently, since it was not
efficient to process them

one at a time. A discussion ensued on how to approach
this issue.

Mike and Key hamfest participation
Kirk N7UK was volunteered to be the official
coordinator of all WWDXC activites at puyallup.

VIII. MONTHLY MEETINGS / PROGRAM STATUS
February’s meeting will be the Kergulen Dxpedition
video by Mike Mraz
