Grant, KZ1W, and Rob, N7QT, are going to the Solomon Islands. It hasn’t been announced via the usual Internet mouthpieces yet as they are waiting for license confirmations. The tentative dates await the airlines, but anticipated for Nov 13th through Nov 26th.
Locations will be the hotel in Honiara on Guadalcanal in the Solomons (H44) and then from Pigeon Island while in Temotu Province (H40).
Callsigns: H40KT and H44KT for Grant. H40TT and H44TT for Rob.
Modes will be CW, SSB, RTTY, and FT8. Rob advises that we can use the South Orkney VP8 10m-160m for their initial band plan: https://sorkney.com
They have a goal of real-time logging using ClubLog live view but internet service and SAT service is expensive. It will be determined if they can get this feature implemented, otherwise we can expect daily uploads to Clublog.
