A total of 1000 points may be earned in this manner (not 500 points # for each QSO on each different band). These points are added after all other scoring is # completed (they are not multiplied by the "multiplier"). The Special Bonus Station will count # for county multiplier. Contacts with the Special Bonus Station will also earn 2 points on # phone and 4 points on CW or Digital. # # SCORING # • Total = QSO points from all bands X total multipliers + Special Bonus Station # bonus points. # • Mobiles sum QSO points from all counties. Do not calculate separate scores # from each county. # # LOGS # Logs must show date and time in UTC, stations worked, exchange sent and received, band and # modes used and QSO points claimed. Cabrillo format logs are encouraged. # Log in non-Cabrillo format: # • Show each new multiplier as it is worked. # • Log county line QSOs as two separate QSOs - do not combine counties on one line. # • Dupe sheets required for 200 QSO's or more. # • Summary sheet listing QSO totals by mode, total multipliers, and final claimed score # Cabrillo format logs are encouraged, but plain ASCII files are acceptable if they show the QSO # information in columns with each multiplier identified as it is worked. # Electronic submissions can include the summary sheet in the body of email message or as a # separate attachment. # Send logs to: # Western Washington DX Club # PO Box 395 # Mercer Island, WA 98040 # USA # Email logs to: # salmonrun@wwdxc.org. # Entries MUST BE POSTMARKED OR EMAILED NOT LATER THAN October 31. # # AWARDS # Packages of Smoked Salmon supplied to the highest score in each DX country and each US Call # District. # First Place Certificate to: # Highest Score in each WA county # Highest score in each state and Canadian province and each DXCC entity outside the # US and VE. # Participation Certificate to all logs received. # Other awards and sponsored plaques and prizes at the discretion of the awards committee. See # Awards Page at www.wwdxc.org/salmonrun for current list. # To qualify for awards and prizes the minimum number of QSO's is: DX 25; USA 50; Washington 100 # All decisions of judges are final. # # SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: for SD, This is important !! # # When entering call signs for stations that are on a county line (receive credit for both # counties) or stations that are mobile through several counties you MUST enter the call # with a "/county abreviation" or they will record as dupes. Example = W7DX/fra, W7DX/ben # W7DX/yak etc. # # SD askes for serial numbers when working DXCC countries even though serials are not # used in the Salmon run. Simply enter " 0 " in the space and SD is happy. # # AFTER THE CONTEST : For Paper Submission's # # Create a .PRN file from SDCHECK and send it along with a summery sheet that can be # downloaded from wwdxc.org # # SD Set-up Information : # Enter name of contest : ?
