Next meeting, 5/09/17, we’re going to try something new.  If it’s a success, we’ll repeat it every 6 or 12 months. If it’s a failure, I’ll pretend it was someone else’s idea.

Show and Tell
While we talk about equipment, stations, and DXing or contesting, pictures are worth 1000 words.  This month, we’ll take a virtual tour of club members’ stations.  This is an opportunity to show off a little or complain about how tough your terrain and neighborhood is.

Read more to contribute your photos!

Help Wanted
This won’t work without your help!  I’ve volunteered to MC the session, but we’ll look at as many shacks as possible.
If you’ll be present on May 9th, email Bengt, k7add@k7add.com for directions on sharing photos.  If everyone shares 2-10 photos of their station, we’ll have more than enough to talk about for the program.  Bengt will assemble the presentation and when your pictures come up, you can (from your chair and super informally – this is low pressure) explain what is pictured.  Quick Q&A and we’ll move to the next shack.
Cell phone pictures with good lighting are fine; the content is more important than the quality of the picture.  What problems or solutions are unique to your QTH?  Consider the whole station, equipment (rigs, amps, tuners, meters, antennas, feed line, towers, antenna), the operating position itself (desk, chair, lighting, or beverage… fridge), cable ingress, and even surrounding trees and terrain.  Did you fabricate something cool, build something unique?  Share it!
Even meager urban setups are interesting!  Everyone has something to show.
Again, email Bengt, k7add@k7add.com for directions on uploading pictures.
