CABRILLO LOGS

CABRILLO format logs are prefered for your Salmon Run entry, our software can read and score CABRILLO logs quickly and accurately.  Other formats require manual analysis and take considerable time.  If you submit a non-CABRILLO log, please include a Summary Sheet showing number of QSOs by Mode (CW, Phone, Digital) and Multipliers (WA Counties for non-WA, WA Counties, States, VEs, and DX for WA stations).

Below is an example of a CABRILLO format log.  This log was actually made in MS EXCEL, and "Saved As" a Tab-Delimited Text File.  Most Logging Programs will export a log in CABRILLO format.  You can always use a Text Editor, such as NOTEPAD, to review and edit your CABRILLO log.  The first two log entries (KB7HDX) shows how to log a County Line station, using one line in the log for each County.  Our scoring software will read one QSO for each line and one Multiplier for each line.  Please do not add /KITT or /YAK (in this example) as it will result in an invalid callsign.

Please take a few minutes to review your log in NOTEPAD or some other Text Editor before sending it in - if you can't make sense out of it chances are we won't be able to either.  Last year the Log Checkers spent considerable time analyzing logs, counting QSOs and Multipliers, and calculating scores.
