WWDXC BOARD MEETING
January 25th 2010 7pm Group Health Hospital
Adam K7EDX opened the meeting at 7:03pm. Present were N7UK Kirk, Denny
W7SNH, Marina N7LSL, Jim K7WA, Paul NG7Z, Dick K7BTW, Joe W7QN, Pat W7GTO,
Elsie N7YX
The November minutes were approved by a voice vote
. Correspondence
Harry K7LAZ has been in close contact with the E4X 2010 dxpedition to push
for more concentrated effort to work the 7 call area. E4 is #13 on the 2009
Most Wanted List for the Pacific Time Zone. The $200 was approved.
E-mail received from YV5LMV congratulating the club on the election of new
officers
Received notice/billing from ARRL for the ARRL DX Contest Plaques that we
will sponsor for JA SOLP CW and Phone
Two awards for 100 DXCC in one year and NANNY were issued
. Old business
Discussed disposal of K6QB (SK) ham radio equipment
Salmon Run certificates were discussed. Paul to contact sponsor of the 7QP
contest to see how they did their e-mailed certificates.
. Treasurer's report
Approved the December report and received the proposed 2010 budget. Tabled
until February meeting
. New Business
The Tabloid needs more input, articles from the membership. When none come
in, the Tabloid is not very interesting. Adam will post a note on the club
reflector asking for input.
The WWDXC website was discussed.
. Special events status
Tables are reserved for the Mike and Key hamfest in March.
Roger W7VV has once again offered his QTH for the 2010 picnic. The offer
will be accepted, gratefully
Some discussion of the DX convention in Everett 2011
. Monthly dinner/meeting program for February
Jim K7WA will present his recently completed trip to Yellowstone Park as a
volunteer
