WWDXC BOARD MEETING
April 26th 2010 7pm Group Health Hospital
Adam K7EDX opened the meeting at 7:09pm. Present were Denny W7SNH, Marina
N7LSL, Paul NG7Z, Dick K7BTW, Pat W7GTO, Jim K7WA and Kirk N7UK (got it
right this time Kirk)
. Review/approve minutes
The March minutes were approved by a voice vote
.	Correspondence
E-mail received from Rusty W6OAT requesting a donation for the 2010 WRTC.
This was addressed in the Treasurer's report below.
E-mail from the organizers of a DXpedition to KH5 Jarvis Is. The KH5 entity
is #99 on the west coast most wanted and we approved a $50 donation.
.	Treasurer's report
The February report was approved. The board discussed the request from W6OAT
and we decided that since the WWDXC was one of the founding clubs of this
event, it would be appropriate to consider a generous donation. We approved
$1000.
The $3681 proceeds from the sale of K6QB equipment has been deposited into
the club account.
. Membership
Jim reported that we received a membership application from Edward Tune KV7J
in Nevada. It was approved. There was one renewal from AA7PW.
.	Old business
The W7DX telnet node and packet machine is no longer available. Dick picked
the equipment up from N6MZ's home. The board decided not to replace the
equipment. The w7dx.net domain name needs to be renewed. N6MZ does not want
to be involved any longer. He has been paying for it and maintaining it
since Kurt K7UU fell ill. Adam said he would offer any club member a chance
to maintain ownership of the domain name. Otherwise, it will expire.
The computer from the telnet node is not repairable. There are two old TNC's
and a digital handheld radio in serviceable condition. They may find their
way into a dinner meeting raffle.
The remaining K6QB estate equipment/small parts boxes still need to be
inventoried. Adam and Denny still have this on their "to do" list.
.	New Business
Adam mentioned the poor quality of sound from the existing speakers Paul
brings to the club dinners. The board concurred and Paul will research
better quality speakers with a budget of $150. If he finds a suitable
replacement before the next dinner he will purchase and present the bill at
the next board meeting.
.	Special events status
No one has volunteered to chair a WWDXC Field Day event. Adam suggested that
we pair up with another local club next year.
.	Monthly dinner/meeting program for April
The May dinner meeting will feature a video of the recently completed Midway
DXpedition K4M.
Paul sent another e-mail to Ben McLeod about his offer of a 787 flight
controls program.
Meeting adjourned at 8:10
