Review/approve minutes
·
The
January minutes were approved by a voice vote
Correspondence
·
The
board approved $200 each for the VU4PB and T6PSE DXpeditions. These two funding
requests were tabled last year due to budget constraints.
Treasurer's report
·
The
January Treasurer's report was reviewed and approved.
·
The
IRS rejected our latest 990-N (non-profit form). The IRS has no record of the
WWDXC as a 501-C3 organization under the EIN submitted on the form. Marina
consulted with the IRS and they are making some changes. More info will be
available at the end of April. The club already has by-laws and other paperwork
that are needed to qualify for 501-C3 status.
Membership
There were four renewals during February. We have 137 paid
up members.
Old business
·
Salmon
Run certificates have been printed and the e-mailed certificates are done. The
physical certs and salmon boxes did NOT get mailed by February 28th as stated
in the January minutes. This was due to the delay in getting the printed certs
to Paul. Now that he has them, the process of shipping can go forward.
·
We
welcomed new director Rob Gregory KD7H
New Business
Due to extended discussions of the Pacific NW DX convention,
new business was tabled until the March meeting.
Special events status
·
Flyers
for the DX convention will be printed and available at the Mike and Key hamfest,
Visalia, and Comm Academy.
·
There
was much discussion of details for the DX convention.
Monthly dinner/meeting
Jim K7EG is slated to present an overview of the Reverse
Beacon Network. We need programs for April and beyond.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:40 PM
Respectfully submitted
Paul Beringer
WWDXC Secretary
