WWDXC Board meeting May 23th 2011
Present were Dick K7BTW, Denny W7SNH, Paul NG7Z, Jim K7WA, Dennis K7DSE, Adam K7EDX and Rob KD7H. Adam opened the meeting at 7:03 PST.
Review/approve minutes
· The April minutes were approved by a voice vote
Correspondence
· Al K7AR sent an e-mail describing his updated telnet cluster. Adam will forward to club reflector.
Treasurer's report
· The April Treasurer's report was tabled until Marina can provide details to questions
Membership
· There was one renewal.
Old business
· There was more discussion regarding the Pacific NW DX convention. The website will go live for registration in a matter of a few days from this meeting.
· The Salmon Run page on the website has been updated for 2011.
New Business
· There was a discussion of DXpedition funding amounts. The decision was made to update the web site with a separate “DX funding” section so prospective DXpedition leaders can see what we will commit to in terms of funding.
· We discussed the future of the Totem Tabloid. The problem has been insufficient content. Ideas were floated to energize the Tabloid. Rob (KD7H) volunteered to explore some appropriate content.
· Paul and Adam will research some options for club t-shirts, hats, pins, etc that have the club logo inscribed upon them.
· As the club secretary, Paul will make an effort to produce timely club minutes distributed to the board so comments, corrections and such can be incorporated quickly. Then the minutes will be posted to the website.
Special events status
· Paul NG7Z had offered his QTH for a small Field Day gathering but only one person responded. Therefore, he has decided to forgo the offer at this time.
Monthly dinner/meeting
· There were 28 people at the last dinner meeting.
· At this time, there is no program slated for the June meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 PM
