On Tuesday, May 10 at 7PM, Eric Moyer will walk us through the world of desktop 3D printing. Eric will be Eric will cover basic 3D printer technology and terminology and talk about how to get started in 3D printing and 3D modeling. Eric has been 3D printing at home since 2012 and will also share some key lessons learned and frequently overlooked safety tips. Eric is an active member of the Seattle maker community hosting a monthly electronics/hardware meetup called “Hardware Happy Hour.” Over the past two and a half years, Eric has lead several large community 3D printing projects supporting COVID safety and testing efforts. Eric has been a structural design engineer at Boeing for over 15 years with expertise in composites and additive manufacturing.
