WWDXC Board Meeting Minutes – Jan 28, 2025
- Meeting called to order at 7:35 PM by Rob N7QT. In attendance were Adam K7EDX; Jack N7JP; Rusty W6OAT; Dennis K7DSE; Tom NU7J; Robin WA7CPA; Dick K7BTW; Justin K5EM; Rob N7QT
- Review/Approve Minutes: Approved Dec 3, 2024 board meeting minutes.
- Correspondence: : Approved $100 donation to AU2V team (India – Sacrifice Rock – rare IOTA Dxpedition)
- Treasurer Report: Approved previous Treasurer report. The report provided by Dennis K7DSE as of Jan 28, 2024 reported a total balance in treasury of $13,669.37.
- Membership report: 167 active members. Approved previous membership report. A Google form is now available for membership payment. According to Jack N7JP this has been very helpful.
- Old Business
- Salmon Run update – SR awards and glasses will be mailed soon.
- New Member Initiation – Robin WA7CPA is working on a plan to schedule occasional restaurant gatherings to welcome new members and get to know other members in various parts of western WA. Invitations will be via groups.io. Other process improvements are also planned including new member intro messages on groups.io.
- SEAPAC Convention – Discussions are underway with DX clubs and SEAPAC to integrate future PNWDX Convention with SEAPAC (beginning no sooner than 2026).
- New Business
- Groups.io Discussed ideas to create a subgroup for DX spots (and possibly other topics) within WWDXC Groups.io. (Cost to be investigated by Rob N7QT). Further discussion is needed.
- Mike & Key: WWDXC is registered for a booth.
- ET3AA Totem Award has been issued. Photo and brief story to be posted on WWDXC website. (In work by Tom, NU7J).
