WWDXC Board Meeting Minutes – May 27, 2025
- Meeting called to order at 7:05 PM by Rob N7QT. In attendance were Adam K7EDX; Jack N7JP; Dennis K7DSE; Tom NU7J; Robin WA7CPA; Dick K7BTW; Rob N7QT; Marv K7IU
- Review/Approve Minutes: Approved April 29, 2025 board meeting minutes.
- Correspondence: PJ6Y Youth dxpedition: Approved $100 funding.
- Treasurer Report: Approved previous Treasurer report. The report provided by Dennis K7DSE as of May 27, 2025 reported a total balance in treasury of $13,715.96.
- Membership report: 170 active members. Jack to send 76 renewal notices in June. Latest new member is KK7MNC.
- Old Business
- Salmon Run – No updates. Discussed separating Expedition County Line into new category to encourage more Expeditions to rare counties. County abbreviations may be revised (standardized) for 2026 SR.
- SEAPAC/PNWDX Convention – Integration with SEAPAC does not appear to be feasible because some DX clubs do not wish to participate. Discussed possibility of having future PNW DX conventions in Yakima. Mark, KB7HDX has researched this and found it to be much more affordable than prior conventions in Everett or other locations. This will be investigated further in the coming months.
- WWDXC Lunches – No updates. A plan is being formed to encourage informal lunches at various locations including Kitsap Peninsula and other areas in Puget Sound area. The purpose is to have more face to face gatherings and build personal relationships within the club.
- Summer Picnic – Saturday,July 26 at Brightwater (Woodinville). Catering will be from Amarillo BBQ in Duvall. Plans are ongoing. Price is set at $30 for both adults and kids.
- New Business
- Next Club Meeting Presentation (June 10): tbd
- Donation to WWDXC: The family of Silent Key W7JXR has donated a significant amount ofolder, used equipment to the club. Currently in possession of Adam, K7EDX. The equipment will be inventoried, advertised and sold off in the coming months. i.e. Kenwood TS2000, TS430S, Collins 75A4 Rcvr, Alpha 76A amp, lots of smaller accessories, etc.
