Meeting Minutes – September 30, 2025
- Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM by Rob N7QT. In attendance were Jack N7JP; Dennis K7DSE; Tom NU7J; Dick K7BTW; Rob N7QT; Marv K7IU; Rusty W6OAT; Justin K5EM
- Review/Approve Minutes: Approved Aug 26, 2025 board meeting minutes.
- Correspondence: In the previous Board meeting we approved a donation of $200 for the Annobon Dxpedition, 3C0W. The funds will not be sent because the dxpedition was cancelled. The Board approved a donation of $100 to 9L8MD dxpedition (Sierra Leone).
- Treasurer Report: Approved previous Treasurer report. The report provided by Dennis K7DSE as of Aug 26, 2025 reported a total balance in treasury of $13,624.51. The 2025 budget includes $1500 in dxpedition donations. So far in 2025, we’ve donated $809 to dxpeditions.
- Membership report: 176active members. There are several members who are past due this month.
- Old Business
- Salmon Run – So far over 400 logs have been received. Scoring is in process by Justin. Justin will solicit donations for Salmon Run glasses from club members and participants, to help defer some of the costs. It was agreed that we will solicit donations in increments of $12, which is the approximate cost of one glass.
- PNWDX Convention – After a lot of discussion within and between clubs, it is apparent that the PNWDX convention will not be held in the future. The primary reason is that it’s not financially possible due to rising costs.
- Salmon Run – So far over 400 logs have been received. Scoring is in process by Justin. Justin will solicit donations for Salmon Run glasses from club members and participants, to help defer some of the costs. - Donation to WWDXC: The family of Silent Key W7JXR has donated a significant amount ofolder, used equipment to the club. Currently in possession of Adam, K7EDX. The equipment will be inventoried, advertised and sold off in the coming months. i.e. Kenwood TS2000, TS430S, Collins 75A4 Rcvr, Alpha 76A amp, lots of smaller accessories, etc. Aug 26 Update: A small committee will be formed to document the donated equipment and begin selling equipment. Marv K7IU to contact Adam K7EDX to begin coordinating this. Sept 30 Update: Marv K7IU has inventoried the equipment and he shared the list during the Board meeting.
