Meeting Minutes – Oct 28, 2025
- Meeting called to order at 7:02 PM by Rob N7QT. In attendance were Jack N7JP; Dennis K7DSE; Tom NU7J; Dick K7BTW; Rob N7QT; Marv K7IU; Rusty W6OAT; Justin K5EM; Robin WA7CPA
- Review/Approve Minutes: Approved Sept 30, 2025 board meeting minutes.
- Correspondence: No new correspondence
- Treasurer Report: Approved previous Treasurer report. The report provided by Dennis K7DSE as of Oct 28, 2025 reported a total balance in treasury of $13,821.77.
- Membership report: 169active members plus 1 new membership application in process (no call provided).
- Old Business
- Salmon Run – Scoring audits are in process. Final results will be published in early November. Plaques will be ordered soon after the results are published. If possible, plaques and glasses will be handed out at the Christmas party in December. Justin will continue to solicit donations for Salmon Run glasses from club members and participants, to help defer some of the costs.
- PNWDX Convention – After a lot of discussion within and between clubs, it is apparent that the PNWDX convention will not be held in the future. The primary reason is that it’s not financially possible due to rising costs.
- Salmon Run – Scoring audits are in process. Final results will be published in early November. Plaques will be ordered soon after the results are published. If possible, plaques and glasses will be handed out at the Christmas party in December. Justin will continue to solicit donations for Salmon Run glasses from club members and participants, to help defer some of the costs.
- Donation to WWDXC: The family of Silent Key W7JXR has donated a significant amount ofolder, used equipment to the club. Currently in possession of Adam, K7EDX. The equipment will be inventoried, advertised and sold off in the coming months. i.e. Kenwood TS2000, TS430S, Collins 75A4 Rcvr, Alpha 76A amp, lots of smaller accessories, etc. Oct 28 Update: Marv K7IU has inventoried the equipment and has been advertising equipment for sale. Several items totaling $590 have been sold.
- New Business
- The WWDXC Christmas party will be held at the Old Spaghetti Factory in Lynnwood, on Dec 6 at 12:00 PM.
- Next Club Meeting Presentation: Jim Hadlock, K7WA will give a presentation on the history of WWDXC.
